Now let me tell you about Raise 3D N2 3D printer, we have had the raise3D N2 for quite some time and we have used it a lot to have some great prints. Even we print small things, we print big things, and we printed dual-color things. As a matter of fact, overall I had much positive experience using this printer than negative points even from the beginning of unboxing this 3D printer.

It has a solid aluminum frame measured 24 inches wide and 23 inches deep and about nearly 38 inches to the ground level and 12x12x24 build volume.

It can reach up to 300C on even all-metal hot ends, it also reaches up to 110C on the print build task on glass print bed, it comes with 7 inches fully color touch screen. it comes with a great feature of built-in print resume power failure protection.

Design & Specification

Come on! Let us have a closer look at this 3D printer beyond technical specifications, in my opinion, I really like the design of this printer as it frames is sturdy and its internal light seems to be a great illumination of the parts of the printer, and its large enough touch screen makes this printer that comes from the future gadget.

In terms of specification, it comes with FFF and FDM technology, as it is released in 2015 but it got a lot of fame in the category of the 3D printing industry. It is manufactured in the USA and set in the arrangement of Cartesian XY head

Touch interface

Let me make you satisfied with its touch screen interface, when compared with LCD screen comes with a twist knob then it really allows easy access to control the printer. This interface has an info-rich display like heat on the bed, current settings, current printing model, eve heat on the nozzle. All in all, you will even see the image of the model during sage of IdeaMaker. You can even also have options to get print jobs using a USB stick, built-in memory, or a sdcard.

Software

If you use IdeaMaker software then you can have the flexibility feature of getting prints through Wi-Fi and printer then store this code in internal memory. And fortunately, using idea maker it replicates all of the information on your computer in a small window and giving you full remote control of your print job.

I would like to suggest this 3D printer because of its great features and specifications which I like the most. Its print quality is no doubt really great and this is capable to produce printed models with the best quality than other desktop printers and what makes this great from others? That it has the capability to produce amazing quality models in enormous size.

It comes with a touch screen up front and filament spools on the behind the door. And the lights brighten in the machine illuminate the build plate that makes it feel much interesting. If you place your machine in the darkroom then you will be automatically attracted!

Last but not least, I personally like the support which I got from the Raise3D company as in my whole time of spending time with this printer. As a matter of fact, the whole team of this company is absolutely very supportive and always ready to help you out! I also found their presence on twitter.

On the other hand, the things which I don’t like that you cannot adjust the speed of the fan while printing because it has the same fan which works for the extruder and at the same time it does work for print jobs. Normally, during printing with ABS, you can set the filament fan to zero but with this, you cannot do this.

When you get this for the first time, you will notice that its bed is leveled from the factory but the edges do not seem to be leveled. And that not good that it does not have an auto bed leveling feature. As it Is not much required but in most cases it would be helpful and no doubt provide a lot of help to those who like to print in big size.

Its spool door normally gets blocked from closing when filament roll on left spool holder, in order to get back at the normal place you have to reach in using the front door to move spool aside.

Conclusion

In the end let me conclude everything that this is really no doubt a good printer. The quality of its print is simply awesome and we don’t feel of any negative points. I literally suggest this if you have space and no doubt budget for this great machine in 2020 so no need to waist your time just grab it! You will be happy with this printer!

Pros
  • Unique Design
  • Best print quality.
Cons
  • Not lightweight
  • Price tag is not budget

Formlabs Form 2 3D Printer Review

Formlabs Form 2 3D Printer is proved to be the best 3D printer by Formlabs. It got much fame in the prosumer category. It comes in metal design and iconic orange enclosure. They are having a 40% larger build volume as compared to its predecessor. And it is best for those who want highly accurate 3D objects printed.

When the next layer starts, its sliding mechanism smoothly removes the object from the print bed. And its self-heating resin tank warms the resin to get a consistent temperature to have the best 3D print. It got the title of the go-to machine for printing.

On the other hand, many users said it comes at an affordable price, form labs continuously releasing their slicing software updates to print and print support materials.

Due to its great features and specifications, this 3D printer got a label as a high-end printing machine, especially for professionals and architects.

Check Price

The Good

The Formlabs Form2 3D printer got many positive points as it provides no doubt consistently reliable and satisfying performance that can bring forth or produce complex and even extremely detailed 3D objects. On the other hand, it supports both network printing and USB printing as well.

The Bad

Let me make you clear that this printer and all of its material is quite much expensive. And it also performs slowly, its printed objects need more cleaning and also remain sticky for weeks.

The Bottom Line

Much expensive and it is worth the investment for those with no doubt very specific needs and deep pockets.

In the beginning, you must sure about your requirements and secondly you must have an extra budget to get special features using a 3D printer to have great 3D object models.

As a matter of fact, Formlabs is proved to be the prime example of all-round best 3D printer. Almost $3500 it is particularly a big investment. On the other hand, its print material called resin comes in the liquid from costs at $149 per one-liter cartridge that become about 2 pounds and you know that it is not cheap!

But if you talk about SLA printer, Then Form 2 can only do print such forms having no ability to hollow out the big parts of the prints. It means that it will use more material when we compare to the most popular and affordable FFF that is called Fused Filament Fabrication 3D printers, as no doubt that it is costly!

As it worked very great in many tests and proved to be reliable. It comes with the feature of flexibility, supporting USB, wired network and even with Wi-Fi technology, having a large touch screen that is easy to use. All in all, it comes with a handy kit that becomes useful when you clean your printed objects (as a matter of fact, all SLA prints must clean before use).

According to my experience, despite its cost it is one of the best 3D printers I have ever used in my life. As it offers excellent performance but a bit slow and shows stellar print quality.

Stereolithography 3D Printing Technology

The Formlabs if actually completely different from other 3D printers and it follows the technology of Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF).

Using FFF, on the print platform, the objects are build layer by layer from the bottom up, the same as icing the cake. On the other hand, using SLA the print platform of the printer dips itself in the container which Is full of liquid resin and then pulled up slowly a solid 3D object.

When the print platform lowers itself into the resin glass tank then an ultraviolet laser light shines on it coming from the underneath that can see-through tank. Sometimes SLA is said to be the laser 3D-printing technology. When more resin is exposed with the laser light, then it creates the pattern and joins the layer above. As the print process is finished, the build platform slow-very slowly moves upward and pulls the entire object out of the tank.

Let me tell you another huge difference between FFF and SLA 3D printing is, FFF no doubt produce much heat during the print job as it is also required to melt the plastic filament. On the other hand, SLA remains cool during the whole time. But resin can be messy. And yes FFF 3D object is ready to use when it comes out from printing, but SLA 3D object must be washed after getting out of the printer with the strong solvent even for weeks.

Formlabs Form 2 3D Printer Specs

  • Printer Dimensions: 13.5x13x20.5 inches(35x33x52 cm)
  • Weight: 13 pounds (about 28 kg)
  • Technique: SLA (Stereolithography Apparatus)
  • Display: Interactive touch screen
  • Build size: 5.7×5.7×6.9 inches (145 × 145 × 175 mm)
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi, USB, Ethernet
  • Power Requirements: 100-240V
  • Layer thickness: 0.001, 0.002, 0.004, 0.008 inches (25, 50, 100, 200 microns)
  • Print material: Photopolymer resin
  • Resin supply: Auto-refilling
  • Software: Formlabs Preform
  • File types: STL, OBJ, FORM
  • Operating system: Windows 7 or later, Mac OS X 10.7 or later

Excellent design

Form 2 is similar to a rectangular box that is placed upward. It comes with a large see-through orange plastic hood that keeps the resin tank from the outside environment in the print job. You can easily open the hood that is attached to the printer in order to have access to the inside.

The printer comes with one print platform, one resin cartridge, and one resin tank. If you want to print multiple types of resin and resin of different colors then you must have an extra resin tank.

As Formslab sell resin tank for $60 each and its resin cartridge also that costs between $150 and $300 each as all depend on the type you want to have, the Form2 is also proved to be quite expensive to use professionally.

Easy setup

Specially thanks to its large touchscreen as it makes work easy. This printer can be easily set up or connected through the USB port on the back. And you can use the touch screen to connect through the Wi-Fi network. You can also control that through software that can be available both for Mac and Windows.

Conclusion

At last let me conclude everything that at the cost of $3,500, Form2 is much expensive for most of the users but on the other hand it is such machine that turn your idea into reality. On the top of that it provides such print quality that is proved to beunmatched b any other 3D printers in such price range.

Pros
  • Interactive touch screen
  • Lightweight compared with other printers
  • Best print quality.
Cons
  • Much expensive

Flashforge Dreamer 3D Printer Reviews 2020

The Flashforge Dreamer 3D Printer ReviewAs a matter of fact, 3D printing is actually something that has grasped my attention over the last 2-3 years. In the beginning, I bought MakerBot Replicator 2 sometimes ago then I got printed such things which I wanted from Christmas ornaments, even necklaces, and toys for my little children.

As I felt comfortable with my Replicator 2, in the start I did some initial struggles to set that up, to load filament, leveling the build plate, and one thing to make sure everything will be in a working situation.

But when I was going to get approached about doing a review of a relatively new 3D printer I would like to share my feelings that I was quite a little doubtful.

I got a quite better experience with provided FlashForge Dreamer dual extender 3D printer and work with for some weeks.

Setting It Up

I got a chance to provide a review of Flashforge Dreamer. As I got already enough experience with my Replicator 2 and that proved to be all that I have needed. No doubt that this was not the same case but 3D printers all are similar but now I found that they are not exactly the same one after having the deeper look at this Flashforge Dreamer.

When I started to have fun with this I felt that the setup itself was totally a breeze. First I pulled this out of the box, then attach the extruder, with the help of 2 screws then I switched on and load the filament in the printer. In the beginning, the version which I was actually provided was a dual nozzle printer, and with that came a spool of red PLA and also with ABS filament.

You will feel good as loading filament is actually proved to be a piece of cake. As it comes with such a feature of a located button on the provide touch screen to load and unload filament. Then I pressed the button and waited to get the extruder to heat up, then fed that using the hole placed on top. And yes even within 30 seconds my 3D printer was actually in the ready-to-go condition.

This is Awesome!

In order to have fun with that, when I got its manual I was just feeling like the kid in the candy shop. Then I set the printer up and started to print some 3D objects. First I started to have something small in order to just check that I set up the printer correctly. The results were truly great. The object came out without any flaw then my new project was a race car, even with the moveable wheels, As I already performed the same with my previous 3D printer but my results were not according to my desire you can say less than satisfactory.

Print Quality & Resolution

Let me tell you my little experience with you that I was totally amazed by its resolution and print quality that Dreamer provides. In the starting, I was comparing this with the DaVinci Line of 3D printers. Specifically for the price they are proved to be decent printers when you look at the printed objects from DaVinci, The point you will notice are particularly the layers. As a matter of fact, I was totally surprised by the print quality of Dreamer.

Its resolution was equal with MakerBot Replicator 2 but the prints which I got from Flashforge are all looked good and also better in some cases than my MakerBot machine.

Conclusion

Above all, I conclude that the Flashforge Dreamer is highly recommended to those who are looking to have a midsize FDM 3D printer as it is capable of having the feature of printing in several materials with high resolutions. Even it is proved to be a consistent printer that does run for hours even when I was not at home. Hence I will feel peace when I am not at home because it will do its work.

As there are a lot of 3D printers in the market, as they all come in different price ranges and even in different sizes. I would like to recommend this 3D printer to anyone to get handy with such particular and affordable 3D printer. As it does not come with suitable price but also offers great features.

Pros
  • Wi-Fi Connectivity
  • Great software
  • Budget price
Cons
  • Print quality is normal
  • Not good for beginners

LulzBot Mini 3D Printer Review 2020

LulzBot Mini ReviewIn the LulzBot line of 3D printers, the LulzBot Mini 3d printer proved to be the best entry-level machine. I’ve found that this printer is performed strongly on print quality during a lot of testing, and even it scored very high marks because of its automatic print bed leveling feature. So, I’m about to review Lulzbot Mini 3d Printer in this guide.

On the other hand, it makes very noise and also a little lack of onboard controls.

Setup of LulzBot Mini 3d Printer

LulzBot comes with a power and USB cable. It also has a handy poster that explains the machine’s critical features. After that, you will also find a print removal knife, a flat head bristle brush, tweezers, a dental pack, and a 2mm Allen wrench with five wiping pads.

After getting all the stuff, you need to install Cura software and configure it. It is effortless to get ready to select the radio button when configuration wizards open in front of you, and you are done.

In the testing printing, as you can say during your first print, LulzBot suggests you print an octopusas it is in the form of an octopus. It is supposed to load automatically in the first use of this 3D printer.

Filament Loading

Bypassing through the quality control LulzBot Mini comes with a small HIPS filament placed in the tool head. In order to pull filament from the tool head, you need to heat the hot end to 240 degrees using the printer interface window after that you will release the hinged idler by compressing the springs which hold that in place, this process allows you to pull out the filament.

Even changing filament is also very easy, but sometimes you need to fumble a little to get into the feed hole. Let me tell you that you will not find that feed hole easily because it is hidden behind the hobbed bolt idler.

One thing you should keep in mind that LulzBot does not come with filament as you have to order that separately when buying your printer. On the other hand, it recommends HIPS filament. For beginners, I would like to suggest PLA as HIPS can create a lot of issues during layer adhesion and even cracking.

Printing Performance

In order to check its performance, the test protocol was used from 3D printer Shootout. Also, print the same probes on different printers allowed us to compare its printing performance.

After all that, we come to know that on a scale from 1 to 5 this printer got 5 points that are the maximum score. And Mini’s probe shows deviations no more than 0.2mm. And it got a score of 4/5.

First of all let me conclude the positive points that it offers, as it comes with a complete package which you can say that it is plug and play. As a matter of fact that sometimes most manufacturers claim but a few deliver.

Secondly, it has the capability to handle a large capacity of materials, as it works with a wide variety of filaments, has enough wide print bed that covers materials from PLA to Polycarbonate.

Thirdly, it comes with an auto-leveling print bed. As it provides great charm and most experienced users know that 3D printing starts actually with a perfectly level plate.

Let me tell you further but now about its negative points, no doubt it is literally a noisy printer as like many of ‘desktop’ 3D printers. Secondly, its name is self-explanatory that it is limited in size and it also means that it does not have a huge in size.

Last but not least, it is proved to be a well-designed entry-level machine to have fun with 3D printing for those who can spend extra bit money. As it is easy to install, quick to operate, it is best in school laboratories and in libraries. It provides the feature of flexibility that it can possess a huge range of filaments. But on the other hand, its drawbacks are its noise levels and lack of on-board controls.
Pros
  • Allows multiple materials
  • Budget price
Cons
  • Open Frame
  • Safety Hazards

MakerBot Replicator+ Review

Let me tell you one thing that you can think about the MakerBot Replicator+ Desktop 3D printer as the furnished version of the original Replicator. As it comes with great features that are considered build volume, speed improvements, and further enhancements, its design over its already great predecessor.

It comes with the workflow features that are proved to be the use for the professional audience needed, and no doubt that it is quieter compared to its previous version. It is eye-catching because of its high end and general-purpose 3D printers.

DESIGN AND FEATURES of MakerBot Replicator

As far as its design and features are concerned, let me tell you that it comes by measuring 16.2×17.4×20.8 inches; hence, you can easily place them on a table or any bench. It comes with a weight of 35 pounds and 6 ounces.

It has a great transparent design that you can quickly check your printing mechanism and performance. It offers easy access to the print bed. It is larger in volume than its predecessors having 6.5×11.6×7.6 inches.

You can say it is 25percent larger than the previous one model. On the other hand, it is larger and fast by 30 percent than its previous one.

Filament

This Replicator+ 3D printer uses 1.75mm PLA(polylactic acid) filament, which is sold in 2-pound spools for $48 for standard colors but to have unique colors, including neon and translucent, you need to spend $65.

As it is the high price for PLA. However, PLA is no doubt strong and flexible and proved to be the right choice for engineers or those who need consistency and durability. To load filament, you need to take tension because you need to press the Load Filament on the control panel.

After getting the extruder hot, you were instructed to put the end of the filament on the top of the extruder. Then gear grab filament and pull in. as loading is easy, so unloading is also easy itself.

Connectivity

It comes with great features of connectivity even through USB, Ethernet or Wi-Fi, but what you need is the MakerBot Mobile app which must be installed on your phone or tablet through which you can upload your prints. You can also even print your files using a USB thumb drive as it plug on the right side of the LCD.  This is proved to be the best connection choices I have ever seen comes with 3D printers.

SOFTWARE

It can operate using a mobile app and no doubt it is as easy as you need to be. Using the app you can easily control your print tasks and even start or launch your print job. On the other hand, you can eve store and manage multiple objects. It provides a standard resolution of 200 microns, but you may switch to further high quality. Now Replicator+ has built-in CAD support. It links through peer to peer connection to the printer. Once you set that up, you will feel good!

SAFETY

As it comes in an open frame, there is always a risk of getting damaged or getting in danger by touching hand the hot extruder but this issue is almost resolved with Replicator+. Its extruder nozzle is placed back of its assembly and it is hard to reach there from the fronts or sides, even it is blocked from the top side by the carriage which grabs it tightly. No doubt its design is totally safe for adults and even for children as well.

Conclusion

All in all, The MakerBot Replicator+ is proved to be the great successor regarding Replicator Desktop, offering a large build area, quieter operation, improved speed, and also a powerful software solution that makes capable of managing individual files as well as to manage projects. It supports the new Tough PLA filament, which is flexible and robust. It has now become the best choice as a high-end general-purpose 3D printer. But it is best for the hobbyist or also for even individuals.
Pros
  • Very good print quality.
  • Powerful software.
  • Prints via USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi.
  • Safe design for the open-frame printer.
  • Although not noisy.
Cons
  • Offers costly filament.
  • Setup through the Mobile app can be tricky.

Dremel Idea Builder 3D Printer Reviews 2020

The Dremel Idea Builder 3D40 ReviewThe first thing which I observed at the first look when I was going to unpack the 3D printer, at that moment I basically felt that I was going to play with a pack of Russian dolls- As Dremel make sure the security and protection for the printer during travel. When you have 3D40 on your tablespace, you only need to do to install its build platform, that snapped in an easy way and then you have to load the spool of white PLA in a secure way, as semi-enclosed spool holder will be on the side of the machine. Then you will need to plug that and it becomes in the state of ready-to-go that is plug and play which is no doubt a great description for a specific printer.

Dremel Idea Builder 3D Printer Specs

3D40 comes with a large touchscreen with a simple menu which makes it operate easily. And happily, it comes with a flash drive with different pre-loaded sample print files, and even you can also upload your own. Its feature of leveling the calibration makes work easy and quick. As for build plate adhesion is not actually best even when you will apply blue painter’s tape that is included with the printer, but on the other hand, glue stick took much care for that issue.

I would like to share my own experience that once I started 3D printing of cats. And in those days my friend’s birthday was coming and in the last moments I decided to print for him that I took an hour for that work, then I did paint on that cat the same as my friends’ cat color. And that one object proved to be the coolest thing in the world for him. I got a lot of attention in my family that can only do pretty awesome 3D work even on a regular basis.

After sometimes I tried another experiment using Organic Vase from Andrew Reynolds. I printed that on in a perfect way. But I felt trouble during removing stubborn support structure. Then I used free print studio software and after that, I was quite normal to remove that even without the software that came with idea builder just because they were not needed for a lot of items that I was printing.

Its software is specifically designed for beginners, as it is very easy and simple to use and yes printing procedure is itself extremely quiet, even it is proved to be working in an optimized way in the classroom as well. As education is one of the major priorities of Dremel’s as it also introduced 10 STEM lesson plans that are centered on 3D printing.

As a matter of fact, it’s all lessons are focused to promote education in 3D style about kinetic energy, potential energy and law of conservation of energy using 3D projectiles in the classrooms. I also enjoyed my printed objects like catapult and cat. Almost each and everything was going smoothly and printed easily, although I used glue sticks to compensate for the adhesion difficulty. Even when my print finished this printer alerted me by playing music with a little jingle and all was looking good with great resolution.

Conclusion

It offers all of its features for $1299 price tag and this Dremel 3D Idea Builder 3D40 is no doubt a good deal, same what the company itself says that it is-an easy-to-use, reliable and safe 3D printer which is a great or best or perfect introduction in the world of 3D printing. I would like to recommend definitely for home users and even for class rooms to get any experience level.

Pros
  • Easy to use
  • Safe to use
  • Best print quality.
Cons
  • Price is big higher
  • Printing noise might disturb you

Monoprice Select Mini 3D Printer Complete Review 2020

monoprice best 3d printerAs the Monoprice Select Mini is particularly sheet steel construction, as it is a basic kind in an industrial way. You can have a look that they even don’t take an effort to hide its bolt heads.

But in order to prevent injury or any kind of damage, its important parts are totally covered. When you see this you will say that it belongs in a lab with a white-coated technician operating it.

But there is no doubt that science lovers love this very much, as it does not come with a touch screen but on the other hand, it has a nice tactile clicky wheel which is mounted on a fancy brushed steel plate.

One thing that you should keep in mind that this printer does not come with any filament but some of the stores gave statements that it comes with a sample filament that is build to have just a quick test and even it does not print an object. The fact is that you are totally free to use any kind of filament with this printer. But most of the people recommend Hatchbox Filament.

Setup of Monoprice 115365

As far as its setup is concerned most of its manual says that it comes with pre-calibrated but most users said that you need some tweaking to the build plate to get it level. This can only be done by some experienced people who have the know-how of mechanical tricks. Just make sure while feeding the filament that cut the end of the filament at a 45-degree angle.

Software

It is operated by the software that is recommended by monoprice like Cura, Repetier-G or simply 3D printing software. No doubt that all are the best software and no one can find difficulty to use them.

But according to my experience, I would suggest Cura because it can easily prepare parts for you and also provide you with complete manual control that comes with everything in between.

Printing

The select mini comes with an SD card option that makes you capable to transfer your files easily to it so, in this way you can keep your laptop separate from it, its large enough color LCD makes this great doddle. I would like to say that you will need to keep it In a room through which you can move out and close the door on. As its quality is proved to be very good even with few tweaks to build files that could easily be improved. As a matter of fact that its build side is a little slow but on the other side its Z-resolution is quite enough high that is what you pay for the quality part. You can even play with quality and speed by using this software.

When you will have a close look onto its quality parts, you will notice most of the differences just because of the usage of software, but as we know very well that real art in 3D printing comes in the preparation of CAD models (STL files) that turn them into parts. As a matter of fact, Select Mini excels is willing to provide you such freedom to play with software in such a way to produce 3D printing part in very high quality.

CONCLUSION

Let me conclude that if you want to have fun with such an outstanding 3D printer then I would suggest you buy Monoprice Select Mini because it is proved to be a great value for your money at around $200.

Even for your children in engineering field interest to utilize a small amount of practical ability you must have this to fix the odd things.

It is actually a tool that allows you the enough power and freedom to utilize your engineering capabilities in an optimized way, I am damn sure that this will drive such a curious mind into a full fledge additive manufacturing engineer.

Pros
  • Great Software
  • Flexible printing for number of materials
Cons
  • Have slow Print time.
  • Budget Price

Formlabs Form 2 Complete Review 2020

Formlabs Form 2 ReviewThe Formlabs Form 2 is actually a 3D printer comes in the SLA variety that stands for stereolithography. You can say that it is opposite to common FDM which means fused deposition modeling type. As it uses the laser in order to make hard the print that comes from the pool of liquid resin. No doubt it is witchcraft by the future. As it comes with the feature of Wi-Fi, that can upload printers wirelessly. And the resin is dispensed automatically by the new cartridge system.

The point is that it is one of the great 3D printers you can have. But you need to burn more money.

Design of Formlabs Form 2

Form 2 is actually similar to form 1+ but with the change of touch screen which is on the front of its base. If you look it closely, you will find a hole through which resin cartridge can be easily dropped. And it has a special wiper in the conjunction of the auto-healing system which has a purpose to stop hardness of resin and ruining your prints.

Especially thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi feature that means you no need to hang on to the computer to upload your prints.

Setup

As far as its setup is concerned, it comes with the cartridge that has to be inserted into it and its resin tank and wiper should be slotted into place and the whole printer is leveled upon its adjustable-screw stand.

And all in all thanks to its special spirit level touchscreen. During printing, you need to tell at first that in which resolution you are going to have your print and which color do you want to choose. Formlabs’ resins allow a range of resolution from 0.1-0.025mm using Form2, but on the other hand, it is limited to 01-0.05mm. And even after selecting the size you can also allow PreForm to orient and add any sort of support according to the requirement of print as it is no doubt the flexibility. As such Supports are proved to be the necessary part of 3D printing in order to give the model integrity.

PERFORMANCE

As we already know the resin tank fills in no time through the new cartridge system, and you need to take tension about your hands that will not get sticky.

It works in the operating temperature of about 30 degrees as that was not required in Form1+. Its wiper provides the resin a swish to get the process to punctuate. But you should be warned that its heating time is not factored in the calculated print time.

After building the final platform it does dip down in the canopy, as it is a mind-blowing experience. During watching of all this procedure you will feel like Fraggle Rock’s Doozers are going to build actually a miniature venue for a little Jean-Michel Jarre.

As a matter of fact, it is not a quick process and by covering all the stuff it took more than 10 hours.it is proved to be quieter than other 3D printers. During work of lasers that makes almost no noise and on the other hand, every time the platform or object is lifted then wiper swish the resin it seems or sounds like a photocopier performs a copy cycle.

Key Features:

  • SLA (stereolithography) 3D printing
  • Wi-Fi
  • 145 × 145 × 175mm build volume
  • h520 x w330 x d350mm
  • 13kg

Recommendation

Last but not least, it is not as cheap as you want because quality needs some extra money so keep in your mind that it is not at all cheap to run, but as the matter of fact it is capable of the best print quality that you can have from a desktop 3D printer.
Pros
  • Quiet
  • Wireless feature
  • Unsurpassed print quality
  • Touch screen operation
Cons
  • High ongoing Costs
  • Messier than FDM printing

Ultimaker 3 3D Printer Complete Review 2020

Ultimaker 3 3D Printer ReviewUltimaker 3 3D Printer Review: High-Quality Prints, for prices the matter of fact that Ultimaker 3 is actually the latest product manufactured by the Dutch 3D- printing giant, as it is a polished version of Ultimaker 2. And it offers great flexibility and dual extruder support which makes it a much attractive 3D printer, especially for serious or professional users. At first let me tell you clearly that it is not actually cheap 3D printer, as it comes for $3,495 for the standard model and in $4,295 for the extended model as it offers with a large printing area. No doubt that Ultimaker is actually a serious or experienced investment. Truly saying for those passionate users who really want cutting-edge FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) printing and flexibility in materials, one more time I will say that it is a sound investment.

DESIGN: PROVED TO BE A SLEEK MACHINE

The Ultimaker 3 comes with a science fiction look with built-in LED lights and having the same white-plastic design like Ultimaker 2. According to its size, it will go to grab your fair desk space, because its standard model measures about 13.5x15x15.5 inches.

Let me tell you about its build volume that you can even print your objects up to 8.5×8.5×7.9 inches as it becomes a total of 570 cubic inches. On the other hand, if we compare regarding price to MakerBot Replicator+ you will be amazed that Ultimaker 3 is bigger than the 555 cubic inches. But no doubt both are proved to be big enough to have print jobs.

The Ultimate 3 extended model is actually larger than its standard size, measuring 19.3 inches high. It makes it capable to print up to the area of 8.5×8.5×11 inches as it becomes a total of 794.75 cubic inches.

The great innovation is that it is a redesigned print head, that comes with two swappable extruders. As it is called print cores by Ultimaker. It means that this 3D printer can print from two reels of filament in a single time. In other sense, you can print in two colors or even with two different materials. It offers great filament that can be used to print supports. But when you use a single extruder, then you will need to remove manually the supports after printing. Using PVA filament, you can have printed objects with the help of only one material and supports in PVA and after that, you remove support with the help of water. After completion of printing, it is recommended that you must use painter’s tape or also white glue that helps to remove print stuck.

Setup: Getting Started with Ease

As far as its setup is concerned, I would like to tell you that it is simple in setting up. You can set it up in some time, you need to first remove its tape then install its spool holder and then you need to connect the cable then you can have fun with this 3D printer. It comes with the feature of the Wi-Fi interface that you set up through its Ultimaker app, which is available for both IOS and Android phones. Using this app you can even control and monitor prints.

In most of the printers, all require bed leveling. In that, the distance between the print bed and the extruder must be set to get print nice and thin. You will be amazed at knowing that this entire phenomenon is done automatically even at the start of printing called automatic leveling. As it is done flawlessly.

Interface: Comes with Features, Easy to Use

we can have control over Ultimaker 3 in three ways: the Cura program running on a computer, the onboard controller, and through using the mobile app.

Through onboard controls, you have a small OLED screen with the combination of dial and button. Using this you can even start a print and can also monitor the progress of prints and also control the printer options, like changing the filaments or print cores as well. Even using a couple of clicks using dial you can also print from a USB thumb drive.

The Cura program allows users to control printer over a USB or network connection. You can even see images from a small camera built into the body of the printer. Cura is actually a simple program that provides a 3D preview of the model that you move around. It also tells us that how your print is created and how much material you required to support inside of the object model.

All in all, its mobile app lets you all load and print models directly even using a slicing engine that is built into a youmagine.com site through which Ultimaker runs.

Print Speed: Very Slow

As far as the print speed is concerned, Ultimaker 3 is actually proved to be a slow printer. In the test phase, we come to know that it took 6 hours and 6 minutes even in draft mode and in the little best quality mode it took more than 24 hours to print 3.5 inches tall “The Thinker” test model. As it is much slower as compared to other printers. If we compare this with MakerBot Replicator+ then we come to know that its quality is superior to MakerBot Replicator+ even in draft mode.

We are informed by the Ultimaker that they are working to improve the speed of printing for PVA, that’s why company releases on daily base updates about Cura and also the printer firmware hat enhance its speed of the process as well. Even though the company itself observes that printing using different materials is slower than with single material. But the company is still trying to provide new possibilities for 3D printing.

Print Quality: Some of the Best We’ve Seen

We are amazed to see the results by this Ultimaker 3D print quality. It handled all our queries in a very smooth way by producing great prints having detail and clean surfaces. Even it got very few glitches problems in the fastest draft mode.

Even the geometric sculpture was printed out very accurately having neat and sharp edges and points.

At a glance

As it is much expensive but it scored 9 out of 10, the Ultimaker is proved to be a powerful and flexible 3D printer that comes with a lot of features to get a design for professionals.

Conclusion

In the last I would like to conclude that this 3D printer is basically designed to professionals who really know the worth of 3D printing. So that’s why, users will get the Ultimaker 3 really worth high cost, and especially thanks to its great print quality and also support for a huge range of materials.
Pros
  • Excellent Software
  • It provides flexibility to print with multiple ranges of materials.
  • Best print quality.
Cons
    • Have slow Print time.
